Disclaimer: Dr. Robert Phlor is an experienced an excellent vet. This practice was recently purchased by Lucerne Vet and the new vets there are too new and inexperienced. Our cat almost died resulting from their bad treatment and their prescribing the wrong medication and given him a rabies shot while he was so ill. Many of my friends have the same complaint. This practice is owned by Lucerne Vet and they have also had many complaints, and the owners simply do not care. We have 11 pets and have been clients there for 15 years. Our complaints fell upon deaf ears. So they have lost our business. Be careful!!! The photos below are of our cat before he was treated at Blue Hill. The other photo was after treatment.

Cannot say enough about this group of vets. Kind, compassionate, expert, caring. Great office staff also. A shout out to Dr. Plourde for help and care with my old dog during his last hours. Highly recommended in all respects - so lucky they are here.

I rate them high on my experience with them. They did all the right things for my Pet.

My family and I take our two cats, Marky and Missy, to this vet for their yearly check-ups and for various situations as they arise. They've redone the building since last I visited, and the waiting room is now very open with a partially walled off section specifically for cats. While I was there, I saw signage saying that these vets are trained to be as calming an influence on your pets as possible, and it shows. Missy settled right down on the table and didn't protest at all when the Dr. looked her over. Marky set himself up in the corner, but he's always been a little more high-strung. Overall, I highly recommend this group of vets, as they're obviously very compassionate and dedicated to what they do.

We have taken our dogs there for many years. I have complete trust in their decisions regarding "Drzl's" (pronounced "Drizzle's") health care. The vets and technicians, actually the entire staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, hard working, and devoted to providing the very best in medical services for your pet. They honestly do provide superb care for all animals. I would not consider entrusting our beloved dog to any other veterinary hospital. I cannot praise them highly enough!!! Oh I would like to mention that 7 years ago when we suddenly lost our precious dog, Ridge, very late at night we were met at the MCVH by one of the vets, as it was obviously he was leaving us. The vet was going to put him down immediately so he would not suffer. We brought him home and buried this 102 lb. dog in our yard next the woods he loved so much. The next morning, with tear swollen eyes, I gathered up all of Ridge's canned food and took it to MCVH so they could give it to a kennel. When I walked in all the office staff was sitting at their desk or standing........all with tears streaming down their cheeks. None of them could even speak. Finally, one lovely lady came around to me, we had a big hug, and I told her the dog food was for the animal shelter. Then they all gave me a big hug. They had honestly loved Ridge too. The day after that I received a doggy sympathy card, and in one more day I received a very beautiful letter from one of the vets telling how terribly sorry he was to know that Ridge had "crossed the bridge." It is truly beautiful to rethink that time in my life.........that while going through the indescribable pain of losing a "family member" there were people at MCVH who were missing our boy too. I will never forget how loving and caring they were when Ridgie "went home."
